It’s time to get ready for school!
The families who are staying in CASDA’s emergency shelter would really appreciate your support as we kick off the 2016-17 school year.
Often when fleeing an abuser, families are not able to bring the things they need to start the school year and many do not have the finances to outfit their youngsters for the year. This can be an especially trying time as kids start school and see their classmates loaded down with all the supplies that teachers have requested. Please join CASDA as we make an effort to help these families make a new start on their school year. Each teacher asks for something slightly different so as we start our school supply drive we have two lists of items that would be of great value to our families. The first list is a list of standard supplies that are now being requested by teachers and the second list details a bunch of the extra little things that really make those classrooms run smoothly. Any supplies left after the beginning of the school year will go towards new families arriving at shelter throughout the year who have had to abandon their resources.
Donated items can be dropped off at CASDA: 318 21st Ave. East, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations are especially needed before September 1, but will be accepted year-round. For more information, please call 715-392-3136 and ask for Nicole.
